History[edit]

After Sideshow Bob sent threatening letters to Bart, Grampa said they should call Matlock, as he would find the culprit, adding it was probably "that evil Gavin MacLeod or George "Goober" Lindsey". Bart then told him that Matlock wasn't real.[1]

He went to Springfield. When he got onto the stage, a group of seniors crowded around him, tugged at his hair, and hurt him as they were so pleased to meet him. Jasper Beardley took his pills for his heart problems, causing Matlock to be taken away in an ambulance.[2]

Grampa and Jacqueline Bouvier left the Simpsons' house five minutes before Matlock.[3]

At Seniors Poetry Reading Night, Jasper read a poem about Matlock, the last line being "...That brave man's name was Matlock." The Retirement Castle administrator then asked if anyone had a poem that wasn't about Matlock.[4]
