The Circulus is an arena in Springfield. It is owned by Mr. Burns.
History
Due to the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant creating a surplus of energy, Mr. Burns needed to have the excess energy go somewhere. After annoying potential buyers, Smithers suggested that Burns open a new arena. The Circulus was built in Springfield, featuring panels that could display images on the outside.
The first act to perform at the Circulus was Kneesock Dolls. However, tickets for them sold out in a second, all being bought by one person, SeatMiser. Tickets for Garden of Sweden: ABBBA Sings Scripture, the Mega-Death Metal Meltdown Melee, and The Wiggles Assisted Wriggling Tour also got bought out by SeatMiser. Eventually, an FBI profiler was brought in to catch the reseller. She set up a trap at the Circulus after determining that the reseller would attend the first concert played there. However, Bart, who was SeatMiser, managed to escape without getting caught.
Behind the Laughter
The Circulus is a parody of the Sphere in Las Vegas.
