Homer is attacked by a bear at the Springfield City Dump. The experience traumatizes him. Eventually, at his home, he imagines fictional bears, including Winnie the Pooh, Smokey the Bear, Snuggle the Fabric-Softener Bear, two large bears wearing Chicago Bears uniforms, Gummi Bears, Teddy Grahams and Paddington Bear, marching towards him.[1]

A toy of Winnie-the-Pooh was seen in the Simpsons home at Waverly Hills.[2]
