TV Show Information

The Odd Couple is a comedy TV sitcom starring Mr. Teeny and David Hyde Pierce as Oscar and Felix, respectively.
History
When Homer and Principal Skinner had to share a hotel room, Skinner was shown picking up a cigar with the end of an umbrella. He then commented that they were like the original Odd Couple, with Homer as the messy one, but Homer told him to shut up before he could finish his sentence.[1]
When Krusty the Clown told Bart that Mr. Teeny was in a show with David Hyde Pierce, the scene then cut to Mr. Teeny's character (Oscar) throwing plates at David Hyde Pierce's character (Felix). The creator smiled and stated that it was just the way he wanted it as he watched the pair acting.[2]

The Odd Couple is the name of a play by Neil Simon, a 1968 film, and several TV shows. The show has been referenced multiple times in The Simpsons. Like The Simpsons, the two main characters are named Oscar and Felix.
