Plot

Homer wakes up and descends the stairs, only to find that the house is flooded, with Bart surfboarding on the water and various objects, including the Olmec head and Bender, moving with the current. Marge comes down as well and starts recollecting how this happened.

She tells Homer she doesn't like where the sailboat painting is. She asks him to move it, and he uses a nail on the wall to do so, mistakenly making a hole in a water pipe.

At Springfield Insurance, Homer and Marge ask Gil to check their house insurance, and it's covered, including temporary housing. While in the garden, as people repair the damage, Grampa arrives with news that he needs medical attention. They bring him to Bleeders Sinai Medical Center to see Dr. Nick, but he can't help him, so Lisa proposes visiting Denmark, where health care is free if you're injured there.

Once they arrive, they are taken on a tour by the owner of the house they're staying at, Søren, which includes meeting Prince Christian of Denmark, whom Lisa fantasizes about marrying and becoming a princess. Homer tries to have Grampa injured so they can get free health care, so they take him to Kronborg Castle.

The family asks Homer to stay in Denmark, and he is hesitant. Then he discovers that the procedure Grampa needs is the removal of a tattoo—one that says Mona and has a heart beneath it.

Homer and Grampa go to The Pickled Viking, and a woman seduces Homer. They start dancing, but Marge sees him. Back at the home, she says that they're not leaving the city, and Homer sees the kids replacing him with the house's cuddly fat cat.

Grampa and Homer try to leave, but Grampa convinces him to return to Marge, who tells him they've decided to go back. Grampa manages to injure himself by overfeeding and gets health care to pay for the removal.
