Wyatt is the biological father of Carl Carlson and a bull rider.

History

Carl learned about his family history from Henry Louis Gates Jr. on Finding Your Roots. His ancestor, Ellis, was a slave who became a cowboy. Wyatt was the last cowboy of the family and was a bull rider. He took part in the Okmulgee Oklahoma Rodeo, where he rode a bull for 20 seconds. This led to a special belt buckle being made to commemorate his achievement, which he passed down to Carl. He eventually gave Carl and his sister, Carlotta, up for adoption. It is unknown what happened to Carl's parents after this.
