Blaise Pascal is a French mathematician and the inventor of the Probability theory.
History
A fictional version of him appeared in the short film Take a Chance on... Probability!. He tells his friend Silly Squirrel that the probability of him winning the lottery are worse than the chance of him getting run over by a car, hit by lightning or murdered by an acquaintance. He then visited Silly Squirrel's grave and said that if you understood probability, you would never play the lottery.
