Eloise is a homeless woman in Springfield.

History

Lisa was impressed by the emotional depth of a letter written by Moe and decided to write a report about him. Along with her father and Moe, the three went to the Regent Hotel, where Moe lived. Homer was surprised by the fact that he lived in a hotel and said, "Just like Eloise," to which the homeless woman responded.

Behind the Laughter

Homer was referring to the Eloise children's books about a mischievous six-year-old girl named Eloise who lives at the Plaza Hotel in New York City.

Eloise is wearing a red bow on the top of her head. The original illustrations by Hilary Knight for the Eloise books were in white and black with an exception for Eloise's red bow.
