Judge Thatcher is a character in a story told by the singing railroad hobo.
History[edit]
Judge Thatcher is the father of Becky Thatcher. When Judge Thatcher caught Becky holding hands with Huckleberry Finn, he forced them to marry each other. During the wedding, Huck escaped with Tom Sawyer, having replaced himself with a pig. Judge Thatcher led the chase for them and the townspeople eventually caught them.
