The Shelbyville Nine are nonuplets who were born at Shelbyville Hospital shortly after Apu and Manjula gave birth to their octuplets.

In The Simpsons: Hit & Run, when Apu needed to collect diapers for his octuplets in an emergency, he decided to steal some from the Shelbyville nine. Using the Car Built For Homer, he rammed the nonuplet family's van, causing the diapers to fall out, which he then collected.
