Manic Mailman is a cartoon character that was created by Roger Meyers, Sr.

History[edit]

During the events of the trial between Chester J. Lampwick and Roger Meyers, Jr. the Blue-haired lawyer, who was working for Meyers, pulled up a number of "original" character drawings signed by Roger Meyers, Sr. According to the lawyer Roger Meyers, Sr. had created the characters. Chester Lampwick, however, maintained that Meyers had stolen all his characters and the only characters he could create were stick figures, one of which was Manic Mailman.

The character ends up saving the company that makes Itchy and Scratchy from going bankrupt when Roger Meyers, Jr. sues the postal service because their logo contains a character that Meyers claims is a rip-off of Manic Mailman.

Behind the Laughter[edit]

Manic Mailman's appearance is possibly based on Mr. ZIP, informally known as "Zippy", a character used in the 1960s by the United States Post Office Department, and later the United States Postal Service.
