Burns University is a for-profit university previously owned by Mr. Burns and currently owned by Bourbon Verlander.
History
When Mr. Burns found out he could make a for-profit university, he immediately set up Burns University and hired Power Plant employees as teachers. Homer became a teacher here and became a good teacher, well loved by the class. After Bourbon Verlander saw how good a teacher Homer was, he bought the university off Mr. Burns.
