Tom Collins is a gay man who attended a party at the Simpson house to find a boyfriend for Waylon Smithers.
History
Homer introduced him to Smithers at the party. Later, he spoke to George Takei and didn't know who Bill Shatner was.
Behind the Laughter
Tom Collins is named after a cocktail of the same name.
