James Albert "Jim" Varney, Jr. (June 15, 1949 – February 10, 2000) was an American actor and comedian. He appeared as Cooder in the episode "Bart Carny". Varney was best known for his character Ernest P. Worrell, who he portrayed in a series of commercials, a television show and numerous films and voicing Slinky Dog in Toy Story (1995) and Toy Story 2 (1999).
