Homer and Marge were looking over the brochure for the Aphrodite Inn's various romantic fantasy-themed rooms when the desk clerk told them she was sorry, called them Fred and Ethel, and said they should have made a reservation.[1]
When Homer and Bart watched an episode of I Love Lucy with the volume turned way up, Lisa in her bedroom upstairs overheard some of the dialogue between Fred and Ricky about Ricky slapping Lucy.[2]
Fred was aboard The Che Gue-Ferry with the Simpson family as they traveled to Cuba. He told Ricky Ricardo that the girls were dressed up like men trying to get into the cigar store. Ricky then told him to give them cigars. Fred then said that it would be good.[3]
