Billie Jean King is an American former tennis player.

When Marge suggested a family outing, Bart interpreted it as having a sexual meaning and said he'd start, exclaiming "Lisa's gay!". Lisa responded sarcastically that she wouldn't want to be gay like her heroes Billie Jean King, Susan Sontag, Sappho of Lesbos, and, she suspects, Peppermint Patty.^[1]

Billie Jean King was one of the women in the famous women of herstory diorama Lisa made for Marge's birthday.^[2]
