"Full Heart, Empty Pool" is the twenty-first episode of season 36 of The Simpsons and the seven hundred eighty-ninth episode overall. It originally aired on May 11, 2025. The episode was written by Jeff Westbrook and directed by Chris Clements. It guest stars Blake Griffin as himself, Andrew Luck as himself, Megan Rapinoe as herself, Robert Smigel as Gabriel Razelton, and Rick Steves as himself.
"Full Heart, Empty Pool" was dedicated in memory of singer-songwriter Jill Sobule, who died on May 1.

Synopsis
- "Homer and Grampa team up to create a new sport that rivals pickleball, until Homer kicks Grampa off the team."
Plot
Squeaky-voiced teen is preparing himself to ask Amy to the prom, however he get called to testify in court. Homer has made another disaster of his own using a backhoe to build a pool and is sueing Builder's Barn and wins. Homer then buys pool equipment with the money even though he has no pool thanks for his stunt. After the process, he ges a Wiccapedia page made for him and Homer starts worrying about his legacy and dreaming of a wonderful future, guided by Rick Steves.
Rick shows him statues honoring legacies of many people that made a difference in Springfield but he has none of his. Depressed, Homer starts playing with a ball all the time in the pool hole and Marge calls Grampa to help, but instead he joins him and they create a new sport, Noodleball, throwing the ball around a hole and catching it making a roundsie. It quickly becomes famous and they think it'll be their legacy. Everywhere in Springfield people built one in their house or are playing at the Springfield Recreation Center.
However suddenly the pools get invaded by people wanting to use them as pools, half pipes and ponds. A new section was added in Wiccapedia for controversies. In the backyard they're joined by Gabriel Razelton to help them and he prospects building an entire stadium for it. However he has other plans as he wants to kick out old people, including Grampa, from it and Homer agrees. At the new Avo-1 Noodleplex stadium, a celebrity tournament is held and Marge is concerned about him hiding the truth from Grampa.
Back at home, Grampa teaches Homer a lesson about how the legacy doesn't matter as one wouldn't be there to enjoy it and that nobody'll remember him, while Lisa explains to him how the company is using it to hide their illecit activities. Homer decides to chalenge the best team to win back the sport by teaming up with Grampa, but after Homer breaks his hip and Grampa has an heart attack, Noodleball shuts down. Homer thinks nothing good come out of it but in the end Squeaky-voiced teen get on with Amy, and his voice finally becomes deep.
