History
After Bart Simpson accidentally became famous for discovering a comet, the club invited him to join during lunch at Springfield Elementary School. In keeping with their tradition of assigning themed nicknames, they renamed Bart “Cosmos” and formally welcomed him into the group. Lisa was notably the only female member at the time.
The Superfriends were deeply interested in astronomy, technology, and scientific observation.
