He was the illegitimate great-grandson of Babe Ruth. He was declared to be "no Babe Ruth III." While at bat, he pointed towards the right field bleachers, then pointed down to signal a bunt. He was immediately tagged out.
Later, the Isotopes won the championship game, but it was unclear if Ruth was still a member of the team.
