The Simpsons Commemorative Stamps were released in the USA on May 7, 2009 (unveiled on April 9) and was on sale to the 2010. A stamp had a value of ₵44 and a set of twenty stamps cost $8.80. Featuring Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie, the stamps were illustrated by series creator Matt Groening and marked the first time a television series still in prime-time production was the sole subject of a U.S. stamp set.
