After suffering a near-death experience, Mr. Burns was worried about his legacy as he was the last of his bloodline, excluding Larry Burns. Waylon Smithers had a computer called "Big Monty" created for the purpose of carrying on Burns' legacy after his death, programming it to respond like Burns would. Big Monty was hidden behind a wooden facade that looked like a complex computer server.
