Synopsis[edit]
- When Bart and Homer go on an all-expenses-paid trip to Mexico, Bart gets mistaken for the high priest of an Aztec tribe.
Plot[edit]
Homer and Bart are watching television when Bart is bored and changes channels. One of the shows Bart skips past has the host calling a number for a chance to win an all-expenses-paid trip to Mexico if the person answering can answer the question "What was the name of the 1998–2006 show broadcast on Mexico's TV Azteca Network?" The phone rings, and Bart answers it, and when the host asks if he knows the answer to the question, Bart exclaims "¡Ay carumba!", which happens to be the correct answer.
Soon, Homer and Bart are on their way to Mexico. When they land, the taxi driver takes them to Motel 4, which they are disappointed to find is run down. When they ask the taxi driver where the beach is, he tells them they need to cut through the mangrove swamp to reach it. As they cut through the trees, Bart gets separated from Homer and is captured by an Aztec tribe. The tribe sees a resemblance between Bart and their high priest Quetzalcoatorama and takes Bart back to their people. Aztec Wiggum declares that their high priest has returned to them, although Aztec Bob is skeptical and wants to prove it by stabbing Bart, because Quetzalcoatorama cannot bleed.
Bart is treated like royalty and is given gifts and a servant girl, Frida. Over the few days that Bart is there, he and Frida become close. Aztec Bob then tells Bart that he needs to sacrifice a new prisoner. This prisoner turns out to be Homer, and Bart tries to get the tribe to let him go. Bart cuts Homer's bonds and declares that there will be no more sacrifices. However, he cuts his finger in the process, leading Aztec Bob to declare that Bart is not their high priest. Frida gives Bart the bodyboard that he had brought with him so that Homer and Bart could escape, with Aztec Bob chasing after them. Homer and Bart flag down a taxi and get in to get to the airport, but Aztec Bob catches up with them and asks them to take him with them because he doesn't like being the sidekick to the king. Bob hits a tree, and they leave him behind.
Homer and Bart are welcomed back home as they tell the rest of the family what happened. Homer then rushes upstairs to use the toilet.
