Comedy Central is an American television channel.

History[edit]

After being dismissed by Mr. Burns for objecting to the Sunblocker project, Waylon Smithers, Jr. fell into a period of depression and heavy drinking. During the investigation into the shooting of Mr. Burns, it emerged that Smithers had spent much of his time drinking Scotch and watching Comedy Central, particularly the program Pardon My Zinger.[1]

Sideshow Mel and Krusty watched Pardon My Zinger on Comedy Central, and because Mr. Burns was shot at 3 p.m., and it was solidly established that Smithers was at home watching Pardon My Zinger at the time, he was cleared as a suspect and was free to go. The police, however, remained baffled as to the identity of the shooter.[2]

Ned told Marge at the last babysitter let Rod watch Comedy Central and now must Ned check his closet every night for Rita Rudner. Marge then wrote down "No. Rudner" on her block.[3]
