History[edit]
Joe Camel was mentioned by Birch Barlow as an example of someone he claimed had been unfairly targeted by the justice system. Barlow grouped Koon together with figures such as Oliver North and Stacey Koon while arguing that conservative figures were being persecuted.[1]
When Duffman went to hospital for a hip surgery, Barney remembered the time when mascots Joe Camel and Frito Bandito were removed.[2]
