When Carl went to get a new outfit for his date with Naima at Second Hand Bros Clothing, he did a dressing room montage. Kofi stopped the record player and asked who said he could do a dressing room montage in his store. When he noticed Carl's belt buckle, he offered to give him an outfit in exchange for the buckle. Carl agreed to the offer and was given Kofi's own outfit. When Carl regretted trading his buckle away, he went back to Kofi to get it back. However, Kofi told Carl that he sold the buckle to "some white guy who talks funny," who turned out to be The Rich Texan.
His shirt had a picture of Huey P. Newton on it.
