Manuel Noriega is Panamanian politician and military officer who was the de facto ruler of Panama from 1983 to 1989.
History[edit]
Manuel Noriega is a character in the arcade game Panamanian Strongman. Bart was at Noiseland Arcade playing the game, with images of Noriega and Uncle Sam angrily glaring at each other on the machine. In the game, Bart played as a giant, bare-chested, incredibly muscular Noriega, but lost when Noriega fell from the top of a very tall building after being shot by armed biplanes.[1]
Barbara Bush said that George H. W. Bush and Homer got off on the wrong foot, claiming their relationship was "just like the Noriega thing – now both are the best of friends."[2]
