When Tracy Letts told Lisa that he could get her into the Horace Frick Academy but that it would cost $84,000 a year, Julian mentioned that he knew a wealthy benefactress who could help: Lacey Van Aster. Julian, Katya, and Lars then took Lisa to see Lacey. In her house, Lacey recounted how she had seduced and destroyed Theodore, Franklin, and Eleanor Roosevelt.
