The Springfield Meltdowns were a football team designed by Homer Simpson in hopes of being the newest NFL franchise.
History[edit]
Homer's designs won the contest instead of Los Angeles. Unfortunately when Commissioner Armstrong first arrived into Springfield, he got lost, and was attacked by Abe Simpson. When the other Simpsons arrived home, they found Abe with a golf club standing over the unconscious Commissioner Armstrong. When he regained consciousness, he told Homer that Springfield would never get a NFL team.
Home stadium[edit]
The Meltdown's home stadium was the Duff Beer Krusty Burger Buzz Cola Costington's Department Store Kwik-E-Mart Stupid Flanders Park. It was later used for farmers' markets and then bull fighting after the team was canceled.
