History[edit]
Anne and Thayer moved into 740 Evergreen Terrace, next door to the Simpsons. The Simpsons went to visit their new neighbors, and Thayer invited Homer out to play pickleball and then get ice cream. Homer and Thayer struck up a friendship, much to Homer's surprise, as he didn't understand why Thayer wanted to be his friend. After they got ice cream, Thayer let Homer drive his Lambuggini, and Homer told Thayer that he'd do anything and sign anything to remain his friend. Anne and Thayer and Homer and Marge then went on a double date, visiting Sir Putt-A-Lot's and a fancy restaurant together.
The morning after the double date, reconstruction on the Blackburn house started, which Homer realized he had signed off on because Thayer had bribed him. When Homer went to confront Thayer at the Lambuggini Dealership, Thayer let Homer borrow a Lambuggini until the reconstruction was finished. However, the Blackburn mansion eventually became too much for Homer and Marge due to its size blocking out the sunlight. After discovering that Evergreen Terrace was built on the spot where Springfield was first founded, meaning the Blackburns were not allowed to remodel their house, Homer returned the Lambuggini to Thayer.
