When Hank Scorpio was showing a potential new hire around Globex, he introduced them to General Claw. General Claw had tied up James Bont above a pit of alligators with a small candle burning through the rope, on orders from Hank Scorpio. However, Agent Bont escaped and tried to reach Hank Scorpio. General Claw said that Bont's continued existence filled him with shame.
