Honest Abe is a wrestling alter-ego that Abraham Simpson had. The costume is based on Abraham Lincoln.
History
When Grampa decided that he didn't want to be Glamorous Godfrey any more, due to the effect the heel nature was having on Bart, he took on the identity of Honest Abe instead. He then turned Bart from Beautiful Bart into Laddie Liberty, his sidekick. The two of them then worked together to beat Mr. Burns up in the wrestling ring and pin him.
