"Apocalypse Cow" is the seventeenth episode of The Simpsons nineteenth season. It aired on April 27, 2008. [1] It guest starred Zooey Deschanel as a farm girl named Mary.[2]
Plot

When Bart joins 4-H, he saves a cow named Lou from going to the slaughterhouse. He gives it to Mary, a farm girl, but her father mistakenly believes it is a token of marriage. So, Homer and Marge try to save the cow and break the two up.[1]
Cultural references
The episode's title is a reference to the film Apocalypse Now.
