Hibbert's dad is the father of Dr. Hibbert.
History
When the Springfield Retirement Castle was closed due to safety and healthcare violations, Dr. Hibbert had to take his father home. His father complained at him about being a disappointment, even though he was a doctor, and told him that the MD title he had stood for "Major Dummy". When his things were being packed up, Dr. Hibbert told him not to bring is Ripple. He replies saying "Without Ripple I never would have had you. Ripple is your real Daddy".
