After the plant fails miserably at a routine fire drill, [[Mr. Burns]] organizes a retreat to promote teamwork. [[Homer]] misunderstands and brings his family, having to leave them to roam the park looking for things to do. The employees are paired up and race for a cabin at the top of the mountain. Last one there is fired!

"See Homer Run" is the sixth episode of the seventeenth season. It originally aired November 20, 2005. It was written by Stephanie Gillis and directed by Nancy Kruse.

Homer becomes the Springfield Elementary School's "safety salamander" to make an amend to stop Lisa's frustrations against men. After he saves many drivers from a multiple car crash, Homer runs for mayor.

The family goes to the Springfield Mall to buy a Father's Day gift for Homer. He is impressed by Bart's gift – a Leather Buddy multi-function knife.
