Do we even need this template?[edit]

I can't see any difference between this one and Template:Speedy Delete should we delete one or the other? Doh5678 (talk) 13:58, 7 September 2011 (EDT)

Delete is for pages that need to be discussed about, i.e. something that may not belong but there needs to be a community decision. Speedy delete is for vandalism, etc. Solar Dragon ^{(Talk • Contribs.)} 14:33, 7 September 2011 (EDT)

How about you change the current revision to:

The page this talk page accompanies is a candidate for deletion.
No reason has been given why. There may be discussion about this deletion here.

An administrator will judge on whether or not to delete the page this talk page accompanies when they reach it. If you disagree with its deletion, please explain why on the deletion page or improve the page the talk page accompanies and remove the {{Delete}} tag.
Administrators - Remember to check what links here and the talk page history before deleting.

No because of two simple reasons: 1- The template is perfect as it is now and 2- Everyone can have a say in deletions, not just Admins. / Loco87 ^{(TALK / Contribs)} 06:18, June 28, 2014 (EDT)

How about from "'''This page is a candidate for deletion.'''" to "'''This page or image is a candidate for deletion.'''". KuhnstylePro (talk) 12:16, August 12, 2014 (EDT)

Really no need. Images are also called "File pages", whilst mainspace pages are "articles". Page defines any page on the wiki. Also, images should only be deleted when they're unused, in which case speedy delete should be used. The Solar Dragon 12:35, August 12, 2014 (EDT)
