During "The Simpsons 138th Episode Spectacular", Troy McClure explained that Matt Groening could not produce the series by himself. At Groening's insistence, the special paused to acknowledge the hard work of everyone who made The Simpsons possible by displaying the names of the many people involved in its production, including David Silverman.[7]
In a behind-the-scenes video on the creation of The Sadsons, David Silverman told the camera crew that Homer was a real stickler for what he liked to call "the way it happened." He then became scared when Homer entered the office and started to abuse one of the animators for drawing a scene wrong. Silverman also took part in the panel for the show at Cartoon Con.[8]
Behind the Laughter[edit]
David Silverman's appearance in "Blazed and Confused" is based on what he looked like during Burning Man 2014, which he attended playing a flaming tuba.
