In the Swim is a Simpsons Comics story first printed in Simpsons Comics #134.
Synopsis[edit]
- Mr. Burns organizes for Homer to swim the Springfield Channel to prove that it's safe, despite his illegal dumping of nuclear waste in the water. The swim is made even more difficult when an orca who bears a grudge against Homer won't let him swim in peace. Meanwhile, Lisa dresses as a carrot to advertise Seth and Munchie's Organic Vegetable Patch.
Plot[edit]
The families of Springfield Nuclear Power Plant employees are aboard Mr. Burns' yacht, the Gone Fission, for a family fun cruise on the Springfield Channel. However, Lisa isn't happy about it because the cruise is being used to distract people from Burns and Smithers dumping nuclear waste into the water. Lisa asks Burns if he's worried about karma, but he isn't. However, his jacket gets caught on one of the nuclear barrels as it goes overboard, taking Burns with it.
