History[edit]
During "The Simpsons 138th Episode Spectacular", Troy McClure read a letter from Dr. Linus Irving of the Sloan-Ketterling Memorial Institute, who asked how Matt Groening found the time to write and draw an entire episode of The Simpsons every week. McClure used the question to explain that Groening did not produce the series alone and to acknowledge the many people involved in its production.
