Persephone is the daughter of Zeus and queen of the underworld.
History[edit]
When Herb Powell learned that his new car was called Persephone, he asked what kind of name it was. The constructors told him that she was the Greek goddess of spring and rebirth and that she was carried off to Hades, where she ate six pomegranates. Herb interrupted them and said people didn't want cars named after hungry old Greeks.[1]

When Hades decided that he wanted to start dating, he abducted Persephone by opening a huge crack in the ground underneath her, bringing her to the Underworld. She hit Hades and told him that he had a lot to learn about dating. She reluctantly agreed to have a meal with him and was horrified to see a zombie serving their meal. After the meal, Persephone tried to leave, but Hades convinced her to have a dance with him. She thought it was romantic until Hades decided to "slam dance" Persephone. Persephone became angry and told Hades she would take him to court.
In Athena's court, Athena heard the evidence before she made her verdict. She agreed that it was a cut-and-dried case of kidnapping, but god-law stated that if it wasn't for disguises, shapeshifting, and kidnapping, there would be next to no god-dating at all, so Hades was cleared of all charges. However, Persephone owed Hades for the pomegranates she ate, so she would have to spend six months of every year with Hades. Annoyed at this outcome, Persephone told everyone that they would suffer from bitter cold and snow every year.[2]
