Hydra is a serpentine lake monster in Greek mythology
History[edit]
After Hera found out Zeus had an illegitimate son called Hercules, she set Hercules twelve labors to complete. The first was to kill the Hydra, which grew two heads for every one cut off. Hercules defeated it by making it argue over which head would take his money after it killed him.
