History[edit]
When Homer Simpson attempted to watch the film Honk if You're Horny! after gaining significant weight, the theater manager refused to sell him a ticket, explaining that the theater's seats could not accommodate his size. After Homer protested, the manager offered him a free bag of popcorn instead, but Homer rejected the offer and criticized the way overweight people were treated.
