Pawtucket Patriot Ale is a brand of beer that is identical to Duff. The beer is made in Quahog, Rhode Island

Peter Griffin gave Homer Simpson a six-pack of "Pawtucket Patriot Ale" at Moe's Tavern. Homer tasted it and believed it was the same as Duff. Moe then ripped off the label, revealing that it was originally labeled Duff. The blue-haired lawyer came forward as a representative of Duff and decided to take Peter and Pawtucket Patriot Ale to court.
Later on, many Springfield and Quahog residents attended the Duff vs. Pawtucket Patriot Ale trial at the Springfield Court House, with Judge Fred Flintstone ruling in favor of Duff.
