Uncle Sam is an American icon.

History

In a nightmare Bart had, Uncle Sam told Bart that it was his fault America had lost its way.^[1]

During the "Octopia" show at Springfield City Zoo, a man dressed as Uncle Sam came out on an ostrich and told the audience they would be back in an hour.^[2]

A poster featuring Uncle Sam was used in subliminal messaging within the Party Posse video "Drop Da Bomb".^[3]

He appeared in Bart's thoughts, beating up Bart with the Statue of Liberty. He held Bart's hands behind his back while the statue hit him.^[4]

The cover for the book-on-tape Mr. and Mrs. Erotic American had Uncle Sam and Lady Liberty in an intertwined-arm champagne toast.^[5]

A background dancer was dressed up as Uncle Sam in the TV performance of America's Back by the Dixie Chicks.^[6]
