As Bart reported in the "Bart's People" section of Kidz Newz, one month ago, Joe discovered that the ducks were gone. Bart told his viewers that some people thought the ducks went to Canada, others thought they went to Toronto, and still others thought that Joe used to sit by a different pond a few steps away that continued to be frequented by ducks. Mr. Burns, after viewing this news segment, asked Waylon Smithers whether his power plant might have killed the ducks. When Smithers confirmed that the plant was undoubtedly at fault, Burns replied, "Excellent."
