Gary is one of three nerds that Homer meets in college. He is heavy-set, always wears a cardigan, and wears glasses with round lenses.
Homer gets him and his roommates Doug and Benjamin to play a prank on an enemy school's mascot, a pig named Sir-Oinks-A-Lot. They were to kidnap him and get him drunk. They got expelled for doing this and then stayed with the Simpsons. Here, they got on the whole family's nerves and when they eventually left, everyone was relieved.
