April Fools' Day is an annual custom on 1 April consisting of practical jokes and hoaxes.

According to Lisa, on April 1, 1022, pagans were peacefully celebrating the New Year in honor of Baal when they were interrupted by settlers who attempted to play pranks on them. This event was considered to be the origin of April Fools' Day.[1]
One of Bart's pranks, in revenge for Homer's pranks, involved shaking up a beer in a paint shaker. This resulted in a massive explosion, and Homer was severely injured and rushed to the hospital.[1]

- Homer placed sour milk in the fridge for Bart to drink.[1]
