Hassan Jay Salam was a suspect in an attempt to destroy the First Church of Springfield.
History[edit]
When Homer and Bart built a model rocket, it crashed into the church. The rocket is labeled HJS and the police arrested Hassan Jay Salam after they suspected that he was the one who attempted to destroyed the church. When he got arrested, he tried to explain to the police that he loves America.
Behind the Laughter[edit]
He was removed from the episode due to the September 11 attacks occurring several months before the episode aired.
