He ends up in Springfield where he is welcomed by Apu. After this, the hashtag #cancelthesimpsons appears (referencing the season's early promotional campaign #cancelsouthpark, meant to skewer cancel culture). This, and the episode's title, is a reference to the documentary The Problem with Apu.
