Happy Smile Super Challenge Family Wish Show is a Japanese television entertainment series starring Wink.

History[edit]

The Simpsons watched the show while working at Osaka Seafood Concern; in the episode the family won a car. The Simpsons decided to participate in the show to try to get tickets back to Springfield.

At the beginning, Wink told the contestants the rules. When Homer said he didn't understand them, he got hit in the face with fire. The first challenge had to be chosen out of three categories: "Ow, that hurts!", "Why are you doing this to me?", and "Please let me die!". The family chose "Ow, that hurts!".

The first challenge involved the family, blindfolded, whacking Homer (who was dressed appropriately as a Pig Pinata) and only allowing him to be cut down if Homer answered one question correctly about Japan. Homer ended up guessing "Japan" before even hearing the question, which turned out to be correct. Afterwards, Wink told Homer that he told the man off stage that he was going to place him in the lightning round (although his reaction indicated that he was actually cursing him out in Japanese), which consisted of placing Homer at the top of a radio station tower as a makeshift lightning rod to be shocked by electricity. After that, the family had to collect the tickets from a burning liquid volcano, but when Lisa got it from the rope, Wink thought outside the box too far because he wanted the viewers to see entertainment, so he pressed a button that ripped the pathline on top of the liquid volcano, causing Lisa to almost fall. After a few minutes, the whole family dropped down into the volcano and slid into the TV studio. The liquid volcano was only orangeade loaded with wasabi from Osaka Orangeade Concern. The family got the tickets and walked away after Homer taught Wink and the Japanese a lesson about game shows. After that, Wink announced that the next contestants were a Canadian couple who said they were very afraid of scorpions, and Wink put them in a box with scorpions dropping down while Wink laughed. The show was also broadcast live in Springfield and Homer liked the show.
