Created by Matt Groening with producers James L. Brooks and Sam Simon, The Simpsons debuted on The Tracy Ullman Show before developing into a successful standalone series. Initially featuring crude animation, the series gradually evolved while retaining its core cast. After six years on the air, the show's 138th episode was celebrated with a retrospective hosted by Troy McClure, featuring its history, previously unaired footage, deleted scenes, alternate endings, and behind-the-scenes material, while recognizing the work of the production team responsible for the series.[1]
A VHS cover of The Simpsons was found inside the abandoned video rental store Million Dollar Video before the building was later demolished.[2]
